贡眉与寿眉的区别

Gong Mei and Shou Mei are the two most cost-effective grades in white tea. Gong Mei: uses group cultivar (Cai Cha) as raw material, mostly one bud two-three leaves, smaller leaves, less down, full and sweet taste. Shou Mei: uses Dabai/Dahao, one bud three-to-four-or-five leaves with stems, coarse large leaves, highest yield. Market confusion: as group cultivar acreage shrinks, true Gong Mei supply is limited; many 'Gong Mei' products on market are actually Shou Mei. Taste difference: Gong Mei is more delicate and sweeter; Shou Mei is bolder and more long-brewing. Both suit long-term storage and boiling; aged versions develop rich jujube and medicinal aromas.
