Guanyang Town, in western Fuding at 300-700m elevation, has over 80% forest coverage and represents Fuding's ecological tea zone. Gardens sit in valleys surrounded by primary forest with high negative ion levels and organic-rich soil. Guanyang white tea is characterized by 'wild rhyme'—a unique mountain-forest note in the downy aroma, clear liquor, and pure taste. The town has rapidly expanded organic tea plantations, with several bases certified by EU and Chinese organic standards.
